The fog lights provide 6000K white fog illumination and matching RGBW halo effects.
Q4: How bright are the headlights and fog lights?
The headlight pair is rated at:
12,000LM High Beam / Pair
6,000LM Low Beam / Pair
Each fog light is rated at 2,400LM.
The low beam produces a sharp, controlled cutoff to reduce glare, while the high beam delivers a concentrated, long-range pattern for better visibility on dark roads and trails.
Q5: What is the difference between RGBW and standard RGB lighting?
RGBW lighting includes a dedicated white LED channel in addition to red, green, and blue LEDs.
This dedicated W channel produces a cleaner and more natural white halo than a white color created by mixing RGB LEDs, while still providing full RGB color customization.
Q6: Are the headlight and fog light RGBW effects controlled together?
Yes. The RGBW halo effects on the headlights and fog lights are synchronized.
When you change the color, dynamic mode, brightness, speed, or music-sync effect, the headlights and fog lights change together. They cannot be controlled independently.
The synchronized control applies to the RGBW halo effects. The normal high beam, low beam, and fog light functions continue to operate through the vehicle’s standard lighting controls.
Q7: How are the RGBW lighting effects controlled?
The RGBW halo effects are controlled through the Happy Lighting app using a Bluetooth connection.

The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Scan the QR code on the controller or search for “Happy Lighting” in the app store.
Q8: Can I use the regular white lights without activating the RGB effects?
Yes. The standard white high beam, low beam, and fog light functions can be used without activating the RGB effects.
You can also select the dedicated pure white W channel when you want a clean white halo instead of a colored lighting effect.
Q9: Is the installation plug-and-play?
The main lighting functions use factory-style connectors for a direct-fit installation on compatible JL/JLU and JT models.
Additional controller wiring is required to power and operate the RGBW halo functions. Follow the included wiring instructions when connecting the RGBW controller and harness.
No vehicle software programming is normally required. Installation time depends on the vehicle configuration and installer experience.
Q10: Does the kit include built-in CANBUS support?
Yes. The headlights include built-in CANBUS compatibility to help minimize flickering and dashboard bulb-out warnings on compatible vehicles.
The lighting system also includes built-in EMC protection to help maintain stable operation and reduce electromagnetic interference.
Q11: How waterproof and durable are the lights?
The headlights carry an IP67 waterproof rating, while the fog lights carry an IP65 waterproof rating.
The lights feature durable aluminum housings, polycarbonate lenses, and an estimated LED lifespan of more than 50,000 hours. They are designed to withstand rain, dust, mud, vibration, and normal off-road use.
Q12: Are the lights SAE/DOT certified?
Yes. The lighting assemblies are SAE/DOT certified and designed for reliable on-road and off-road lighting performance.
Q13: What should I check if the RGBW lights do not connect or synchronize?
First, confirm that the RGBW controller is receiving power and that all harness connections are fully seated.
Then:
Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device.
Allow the required permissions for the Happy Lighting app.
Close any other device currently connected to the controller.
Turn the lighting system off and back on.
Reopen the app and reconnect to the controller.
Check the power, ground, and RGBW connector connections.
If one light remains out of sync, disconnect and reconnect its RGBW plug before pairing the controller again.
