The Lincoln Motor Company (named after Abraham Lincoln) is a luxury division of the Ford Motor Company. Lincoln has a long history of providing official state limousines for many U.S. Presidents until 1993, when the car used by George Bush was retired. Perhaps the most famous Presidential state car was the custom-built 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible in which John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
