I swapped out the OEM housings on my Tundra with some LED bulbs, but they stopped working pretty quickly. I was going to purchase another set of LED bulbs, but I came across this product and, for just a few bucks more than a replacement bulb set, I figured I'd give these a shot. The OEM housings were an absolute train wreck to remove... some people don't have an issue at all, but mine weren't coming out at all, and I ended up breaking the OEM housing clips just to take them out, so I hoped these replacement lights would be good. After I hooked them up and slid them in, they look perfect and have no fitment issues at all. Sure, they're pretty bright, and for a few weeks, you're going to have to get used to the brightness. But after about 4 months now, I don't even remember how the reverse camera looked with the OEM housings and don't miss them at all and don't think these are too bright; again you just have to get used to it, it doesn't blast the camera and make it inoperable anymore so you don't have to worry about that.
The OEM Tundra license plate lights use an incandescent style T10 bulb that is really not much to speak of. The new lights add to the reverse brightness at night and help accent the look of the rear, especially if you've replaced the rear taillights and cab brake light with better-looking aftermarket options. Definitely recommended, especially for the price!
